What’s included:

About the Property

Aldermarsh retreat center is situated on the edge of a beautiful marshland in the Maxwelton Valley at the south end of Whidbey Island, located only a short distance from the Clinton Ferry Terminal. The wooded 5 acre facility is a human-created space integrated within its natural setting where community, collaboration and sustainability thrive.

The grounds include a cordwood sauna, an outdoor heated Japanese soaking tub, beautiful gardens, an outdoor fire pit, and maintained pathways through acres of natural wetlands. Lodging facilities include three main buildings and two small cabins, with communal dining taking place in the Main House and group gatherings convening in the uniquely beautiful Marsh House.

Accommodations

The Aldermarsh Property consists of five total buildings, the Main House, the Studio, and the Apartment.

The majority of the accommodations feature shared rooms with a mix of twin and double beds. We have one semi-private lodging option available in the “apartment” which features two bedrooms and a shared bath. This is available on a first-come, first serve basis.

There are two small cabins that feature a more glamping-like experience but do not have running water. They are near the main house where restroom facilities and water are accessible.

The intimate nature of the property means we have very limited availability for this retreat! You can secure your space with a $500 deposit. We’ll send you an invoice for the remaining balance 90 days prior to departure.
